A large-sized English Creamware Dessert Dish with molded handles and rare purple highlights. The dish is marked Davenport with an impressed anchor mark. It dates c. 1820. 11” x 7 ¾” x 1 ¾” at the handles: this dish will hold a lot of BonBons! There is some light ribbing on the handles but the rest of the pottery is smooth. Condition is very fine! No chips, cracks, lines or restorations; clean and ready to use, with only some very minor rubbing of the purple edging in a couple of places (noted for accuracy). I have more than one of these should you need/want a pair!
