An unusual Hampshire Pottery Vase that is 5 ¼” tall and 2 3/8” in diameter at the top. The vase, which dates to the early years of the 20th century, has a rare, possibly experimental, gray matte glaze (thick in places) and there are incised floral decorations on one side. The bottom is marked Hampshire Pottery, and it also has an “M” in a circle and numbers (either 1/81 or 18/1). Very fine or better condition: no chips, cracks, lines, etc. The underlying pottery is peaking through in some of the incised marks.
