A round, bulbous blue banded pink lustre sugar bowl from a child's tea set or set of dishes. The little sugar bowl is hand-decorated with a 2 story house and there is a blue band around the ribbed top edge and around the outer edge of the lid. There are no maker's marks, but it dates c. 1840. About 3" high and 3 ¾" in diameter at its mid-section. Strong pearlware glaze and lustre highlights. Very fine condition, especially for something from a kid's set: no chips, cracks, lines, or restorations, etc.
