A very delicately potted (the bowl is really feather-light in weight) green Shell Edged bowl with boldly scalloped edges and molded ribbing. 7 ½" in diameter and 1 ½" deep, the serving dish is marked Wedgwood (impressed capital letters). It has a very strong pearlware glaze and even the foot ring is scalloped. There are no visible blemishes to this piece (chips, cracks, lines), but it has been restored (very well done: it was restored when I purchased it so I cannot pinpoint exactly what was done to the bowl): if I had to `guess' about the restoration, I would point to some spots along the edge that might have had chips restored , with possibly associated hairlines. A very unusual form with nice color.
