A very attractive late 18th Century (c. 1780-1800) Decorated English Creamware Plate. The plate is 9 ½" in diameter and decorated with over-glaze enameling of a cornucopia with strawberries and flowers and a very bold purple swag border. The outer edge has a blue rim. There are no maker's marks. Except for a small, filled underedge chip (not visible from the top side), the plate is in very fine condition: no other chips, cracks, lines, etc. The enamel decoration is very strong and there is no flaking or enamel loss.
