An oval, molded Pearlware Plaque, decorated in Pratt colors and featuring 2 figures and a goat. The figure on the right is reaching for a bunch of grapes and holding a wine glass. There is a dimpled interior border. I am not sure exactly what this plaque portrays: it could be a Classical theme that I am not familiar with (and haven’t found anyone who knows it either), or it could be a representation of the Bible story where Abraham is commanded to sacrifice his son Isaac as a test of his devotion. In either case, it is a handsome plaque, measuring 7 1/8” x 5 ½”. The Pratt colors are strong, and the plaque displays very well. I believe there to be some invisible professional restoration on the left side, visible only because of some very slight yellowing on the back. The front shows perfectly. The molded decoration is crisp. One of a couple of Prattware Plaques available in my Ruby Lane shop!
