Hogan & Bolas was started by Robert Hogan and Elizabeth Bolas who were Rhode Island School of Design students. Their jewelry was hand crafted and they produced their designs in copper and bronze. They experimented, successfully, with various enameling techniques and later used silver in their jewelry designs. Pieces were produced using traditional metalworking, combining hand and machine work.
