ABOUT HARMONY KINGDOM: For those of you not familiar with Harmony Kingdom, the story began in a small garden shed outside a cottage overlooking the Cotswold countryside. The first figures were produced in 1989 with a single artist carving netsuke type figures. A mold was made and the figures were made out of marble resin. The figures evolved from one piece to small animal figure boxes that opened and could hold a small item. Next there were carvings on the inside of the box. Now they have many artists but still retain the original charm especially with the funny expressions and names the very appropriate names given to each piece.
I have been a collector since 1997 and still continue to collect these quirky little boxes which make great gifts and are certainly a conversation piece for my guests. I hope you enjoy these too.
