This is a wonderful piece of history dating to the WW II era when standard materials were not available to jewelry manufacturers. This did not stop these creative designers from coming up with unique creations made from wood, plastic and other materials. This colorful brooch has wooden flat flowers topped with a bead all around the outside. In the center are bell shaped, round and square wood beads. Artistically dangling down are round wood beads terminating with cone shaped beads each sheltering a round wood bead. This is all sewn onto a pierced metal backing with a "c" clasp catch. This most likely is Czech in origin.
