This local estate find is a magnificent pair of solid 14k yellow gold Victorian era earrings circa 1870. They are dangles with cobalt blue enamel, a large center natural pearl, a smaller top pearl, and three little dangling pearls at the bottom. The original ear wires were professionally replaced with modern posts, some time in the last fifty years or so. The earrings measure 1 1/2" long from the very top to the bottom of the last little pearl dangle. They are in excellent condition with no damage or wear of any kind. The green substance you see on the back of one earring is NOT verdigris, but just some type of green schmootz (dirt) which has been removed. They have no marks, but were carefully acid-tested as 14k gold.
