This lovely vintage WWII era brooch is signed by Van Dell as pictured, and is gold-filled on sterling silver. It has two deep pink glass moon glow "flowers" and the leaves and stems are pale yellow gold.
The pin is circa 1943-1945. The design is fine and very graceful.
The pin measures 2 3/4" long by 1 1/4" at the widest point. A secure rollover clasp works smoothly. We've left the original patina unpolished as some collectors prefer that. It is in excellent condition with no wear.
Van Dell Corporation was founded in Providence, RI in 1943. Van Dell manufactured gold filled, sterling and gold plated jewelry. They used rhinestones, imitation stones simulating gemstones and both cultured and imitation pearls. The jewelry is of high quality with designs closely resembling fine jewelry.
