This lovely and well known 1930's brooch is a large 2 1/2" wide butterfly done in silver tone pot metal and covered with clear rhinestones with an edge of aqua stones and red eyes. Most of the stones are bright and clear, but a few are a bit dark from age, the safety catch on the pin back works fine, and there is no wear to the metal. This collectible pin is featured on page 21 of Leigh Leshner's book on vintage jewelry, titled "Vintage Jewelry: A Price and Identification Guide, 1920-1940s".
I am including FREE the 1960's clip butterfly rhinestone earrings shown. They are not a perfect match, but will look great with the brooch.
