This very pretty 10k solid gold brooch is marked "FROV" (Fabbriche Riunite Oreficerie Vicentine) which was a consortium of Italian goldsmiths who formed a "co-op" in 1907 to avoid unionizing the jewelry trade. This lovely pin with its Art Nouveau styling is from that time period. It measures 1 3/4" long, has two seed pearls on the ends and two emerald cabochons on top and bottom. In the center is a split pearl surrounded by rough pale blue/grey gemstones, and one was replaced by a brighter stone but this blends in well. It weighs 2/8 grams and was acid-tested as 10k solid gold. The center is slightly askew and may be a bit bent, but it still wears beautifully.
