Made in 1897 when there was a utensil for every conceivable purpose, is this estate-fresh stuffing spoon made by Gorham in the Strasbourg pattern. The huge spoon is 12 1/2" long, made to reach inside the Thanksgiving turkey to retrieve all the stuffing, but you could use it to serve any large item, like maybe brussel sprouts, for example; I'm sure you can think of others. It weighs 4.9 troy ounces which is 5.41 ounces! It has a three letter script monogram on the front of the handle, the center button, and has the old Gorham hallmark as pictured. It has no damage and has been very lightly polished, but could use a good buffing as it still has some faint areas of tarnish.
