Offered for sale today is this lovey, feminine and delicate 1950's sterling silver filigree and rhinestone demi parure with a brooch and screw-back earrings made by Carl-Art. The 2" long pin has a flower spray design of very fine sterling filigree set with both clear and aquamarine colored rhinestones. The matching earrings are just 1" long. All three pieces are in pristine, like-new condition without any wear or damage.
All the pieces are marked "Sterling" and "C A" with an arrow through them, the mark of Carl-Art, Inc., active in Providence Rhode Island from the 1930s to the 1970s. The Carl-Art Company was owned by Carl Schraysshuen and Arthur Loercher. This Providence Rhode Island company was started in 1936 and closed its doors in 1976. The company was known for its well-designed high quality silver and gold-filled designs that successfully imitated fine jewelry, and had lasting quality. This set is a testament to that success as it is as beautiful today as the day in was made.
