For the love of your life, how about a "heart full of love", and song, and luck?
Such as what our mid-20th century vintage combination goldwash and silver sterling charm bracelet here offers.
This oh-so-dear bracelet is unique for its oversize puffed heart sterling vermeil dangle that just seems bursting with, well, love for one thing, and other just-as-sterling (pardon the pun) affections — friendship, loyalty . . .
Our bracelet also has two smaller dangles, a bar of musical notes, and a lucky four-leaf clover. Both these dangles, and the chain bracelet, are silver in hue, which just accentuates how special the puffed heart dangle is.
The puffed heart is awash in rose gold, and inset with glittery rhinestone dangles. Though unmarked except for the 925 at the base of its bail, this style was most popular in the 1950s, and a few top costume jewelry design companies (like Coro and Nettie Rosenstein) had their own variations. Our guess, from the quality of the heart, it may have once dangled from a signed chain or even brooch.
As this bracelet's dangle, it is huge, about 1 3/8" x 1 1/4" and with a depth of about 5/8". It has six rhinestones inset within star-shaped indentations on the front part; they look like twinkling stars!
The puffed heart is at the center of the 6 3/8" long large-and-small chain bracelet, and is flanked by 1/2" x 1/2" silver dangles, the notes on one side, and the clover on the other. The chain has a spring ring clasp.
All the dangles and the chain are stamped 925. The heart's stamped 925 has eroded with age, but the "9" and the "5" are still legible. It's also been tested as sterling.
In very good condition overall. Everything looks fantastic, but shows signs of age like patination. The puffed heart mostly has its goldwash intact, but has scuffs, mostly in the back. Still beautiful.
