Everything's come up lilac and lavender in this most feminine of Miriam Haskell Demi's from the 1960s!
Our large brooch and earrings showcase petal-like art glass beads in pale purple hues, with a sprinkling of opaline and pearlescent beads, on a richly gilt filigree backdrop.
The art glass elements are wavy discs resembling petals. They are gathered up in bunches, around round crackle or opaline beads; the clusters look like pompon flowers like carnations or mums.
Each earring looks like a single mum, flouncy and 3-D. The brooch has the florets all in a row, like a centerpiece. I think it's a cool design, as the brooch can be positioned every which way and still look great. Check out our pictures for a few suggestions.
The brooch measures 3" x 1 1/4"; the earrings are 1 /4" rounds. All pieces are meticulously hand-wired and secured onto a double filigree base. The brooch has a locking c- clasp, and the earrings are srewbacks.
All pieces are marked. The brooch has a Miriam Haskell oval cartouche logo, and the earrings are stamped Haskell on the stems.
Our set is in very good to excellent condition, with little visible wear. The art glass elements are fantastic, and the agile elements are rich in hue, with no visible verdigris.
