They look like yummy "jelly bellies", except they're really just "eye candy".
The bright purple and peach oval cabochons in our late 20th century sterling bracelet are actually semi-precious stones (amethyst and morganite). On the pure strength of their colors, they give our bracelet a luscious, delectable look!
From a local Dallas estate, the original owner loved jewelry in a rainbow of colors; our bracelet offers a peek into two of her favorites.
Probably artisan-created, with just a "925" marking (for sterling) on the silver metal, our bracelet has a simple, straightforward design consisting of two contrasting colors of cabochon gemstones, set alternating along a 7 1/2" length.
The bigger of the two stones are the amethysts, about 3/4" x almost 5/8" each. Probably heat-treated since they are so bright and vibrant in hue, like candy. The amethysts alternate with the smaller 1/2" x 3/8" oval morganites, which are peachy, with darker swirls in a few.
The stones are prong-set into open back settings, so you can see thru their translucency the cloudy, wispy inclusions within. Beautiful!
The bracelet has a flat foldover clasp closure. Length is 7 1/2" and width is 5/8".
Marked 925 at the base of the clasp. The bracelet looks as new, little used, if at all. The sterling portion is bright and shiny. The semi-precious stones are fabulous. Truly a feast for the eye!
