16 1/2" high without the turned wooden base. 19 3/4" with it. Measures 10 1/2" wide. Weighs an impressive 1.1 kilos. In pristine condition. I'm pleased to offer this interesting piece of English Military history. To learn more about this regiment I consulted Wikipedia and credit that fine website with this excerpt:
"The regiment was first formed as the Gentlemen and Yeomanry of Warwickshire in 1794, who raised four troops of yeomanry. These four troops were regimented in 1796 as the Warwickshire Regiment of Yeomanry Cavalry; the regiment expanded to a fifth troop in 1813, a sixth in 1831, and in 1854, with the Crimean War causing an upsurge in martial sentiment, two more troops were formed. The regiment sponsored two companies of the Imperial Yeomanry in 1900, for service in the South African War, and in 1901 was itself reorganised as mounted infantry as the Warwickshire Imperial Yeomanry. In 1908 it was transferred into the Territorial Force, returning to a cavalry role and equipping as hussars, under the new title of The Warwickshire Yeomanry".
The antique silver trophy has an extensive engraving which I find somewhat mysterious. Please see my close-up photo to read the full text. The trophy was awarded in 1907 the same year it was made by the Birmingham silversmith J. Wilmot. Please see my photo of the full set of hallmarks. As mentioned, this massive military trophy is in outstanding condition. It came to me BLACK!! It took me several hours of hand-polishing to restore it to its original glory. No dents, repairs or scratches. Simply fabulous! I did have to repaint the wooden base due to lacquer losses. My one regret is that this large loving cup's size doesn't come across in photographs. It is so much larger than these photos convey. A true show piece and rare military collectible!
