A very unusual Native Made Thread Sewn Basket or Purse made c1900-1920 in Mint Condition. This OJIBWA CHIPPEWA sweetgrass or sweet grass basket was never used. The 3 hot pink wool fabric ovals are as vibrant as the day they were applied. No fading or moth holes. The beading is perfect as well. The braided handles are intact as well but there is a minor break to a strand of the braid that attaches to the right front side. It was most likely there as the handle was sewn on. The 4 pedal flower at the front serves as a decorative closure. A sweet find! 7" wide x 6" deep x 3.5" high (17.7 x 15.3 x 9 cm). FREE SHIPPING
