This interesting piece was apparently worn and used on more ceremonial occasions by China and other closely associated countries such as Mongolia and Tibet. The holder is of leather decorated with intricate brass and has a movable loop at one side for attachment to a belt or waistband. At one end it has a specifically shaped frame for the three enclosed eating tools which consist of a steel, wooden and brass knife and two brass-handled, probably bamboo, chopsticks. This piece is in very good condition for its age and it is particularly appealing as it retains its contents. This item would make a most interesting addition to a collection of Oriental artifacts. Maximum length with tools 10.5 ins (26.6cm).Weight 146 grams. Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $33.50 USD - with no tracking is cheaper.
