A lovely small German or Pennsylvania Deutsch spice chest with drawers labelled Neuwünz (?newspice), Mandeln (almonds), Zimmt (cinnamon), Pfeffer (pepper), Kümmel (caraway), Saffran (saffron), Muskat (nutmeg) and Nelken (cloves). This is a charming folk art collectible which could also be used. Length 2.5 ins (5.5cm), width 7 ins (17.75cm), height 7.5 ins (19cm). Weight 550 grams. This item can be seen in the book, "Antique Boxes - Inside and Out", on page 102.
