This is a rare and striking Ledo rhinestone bangle bracelet watch. The tiny 17 jewel Swiss watch is revealed when you slide back the top piece. The hinges are on the side and the rhinestones go halfway down; the rest of the bangle and watch is believed to be of rhodium plated. There is a safety chain to ensure that the watch does not slip off. This item is most decorative and would make a super wearable fashion statement with the sparkling stones. The bracelet has a maximum diameter stretch to approximately 2.65 ins wide and would fit a very small wrist. The movement is marked Greygor Watch Co, Seventeen 17 jewels, Swiss, Unadjusted. The Ledo mark (very difficult to photograph) is in script which has been stated to date the piece to c1949. The item is in lovely condition for age and is currently working. Maximum stretch 2.65 ins (6.75cm) The top is 1½ ins. long and ¾ ins wide. Weight 44 grams. This item can be seen in the book, "How the Watch was Worn - A Fashion for 500 Years", on page 249.
