This is an attractive pair of shoe stretchers that are commonly called Shoe Trees. They have a treen ball at one end for the heel of the shoe and a shaped treen flat bottomed cone at the other end for the toe of the shoe. Between is a flexible slender band of steel which would help exert gentle pressure to keep the shoe in excellent shape. Their condition is very good for age with some tarnish on the steel. These would date to the mid-20th century and would be a useful addition to help maintain the shape of your collection of beautiful vintage shoes or for a display of shoes to show early items used for maintaining their shape. Maximum length 11.5 ins (29.1cm). Weight 75 grams.
