This is a beautiful Regency-era button of filigree and cut steel with areas of gilding. There are six radiating rows of four cut steel facets which glitter in the light. The circular frame appears to be of gilt steel and there is a gilt shank in the centre of the back. The condition is very good for age and this would make a fantastic addition to a collection of special and early buttons. This would also look most attractive on a pale-coloured gown. Diameter 1 ins (2.5cm). Weight 4 grams.
