This is a lady’s mechanical Swiss watch in the form of a watch key by Oris. It is in gilt metal with a steel back and a red-brown dial. The actual watch is hinged within the metal frame. It is currently working but its time-keeping has not been verified. This is an intriguing small piece with the watch and its holder appearing in the form of a very large watch or clock key and it would be an interesting addition to a collection of unusual watches or possibly to use. Maximum length 2.25 ins (5.6cm). Weight 18 grams. This item can be seen in the book, "How the Watch was Worn - A Fashion for 500 Years", on page 133.
