This boxed set is described as the “Barbie Teenage Fashion Model”. It is contained within a red plastic box with a decorative sticker of a dear little dog. When opened, there is a yellow holder for the watch and three bands. The watch is on the central white band and the dial is enhanced with a picture of a Barbie doll and the two watch hands are her arms. It has a winder at the side. There are two additional wristbands, one of pale pink leatherette and the other of faux denim. The inside of the lid has the image of a teenage Barbie and the label for the box, and is marked for Mattel as well as the label “Product of Bradley Time, A Division of Elgin National Ind. Inc” and similar details are on a yellow sticker on one end. When wound the watch is currently working but precise time-keeping has not been checked. This would be a delightful addition to any collection of Barbie-related items. Box measures length 5.75 ins (14.5cm). Weight 130 grams. This item appears in my book, “How the Watch was Worn, A Fashion for 500 Years” on page 264.
