An early 20th century Noah's Ark, made by returned servicemen. Complete with a delightful collection of hand-carved animals (one giraffe, one lion, one elephant, one camel, two horses, two bears, two ostriches) and Mr & Mrs Noah. Inside the lid is a salutary message: 'God saw men's wicked ways and nipped them in the bud. He let it rain for forty days and drowned them in a flood. The bad all died, but mark! God saved Noah's life. He saved them in a mighty Ark with his three sons and wife. And two of every kind of insect, beast and bird - as He had said. For you will find God always keeps his word. So now with you and me - be this well understood! If bad, we too shall punished be. But helped if we are good." (Copyright).

Condition: The actual ark is in fair to good condition for age. The paintwork is rubbed consistent with use. The hinges are fine. The animals have variable rubbing of the paintwork as can be seen in the images.
