This is a very beautiful and wearable 14 carat gold and pearl bracelet watch labelled Péry. The actual watch is hidden behind a perforated gold cover which swivels out to reveal the watch face once a security latch is released. The watch dial is a golden colour with the mark of Péry and the hour hands are marked out with small gold dots. The winder is hidden at the back and the watch is currently in working order. The perforated cover and one end of the bracelet are further decorated with one large, two small and eight smaller pearls. The bracelet itself is created from six fine gold chains passing to the catch which hinges open and after the other end is placed in position, this hinge closes to secure the bracelet. There is also a small fine security chain. The back of the watch is marked 14K and it also tests for 14 carat. This would be a really lovely item to wear on dressy occasions partnered with other gold and pearl pieces of jewellery. Length 7.25 ins. (19cm). Maximum diameter 0.9 ins (2.3cm) Weight 32 grams. Maximum weight including presentation box 114 grams. This item can be seen in the book, "How the Watch was Worn - A Fashion for 500 Years", on page 250.
