This is a deep teal blue and steel beaded miser’s purse. The main section is crocheted finely and the decoration, which includes stars, bands and tassel are of small steel beads with the addition of bugle beads in the tassel. The purse is typical for the miser style as there is a slit in the centre and two steel rings which can be slid either way to open or close to either end of the purse to keep the coins secure. This would be worn draped over the fingers. The condition is excellent with no obvious loss of beads or damage to the crochet. There are a couple of very small, faint stains and minimal rust to the beads in the centre but generally this is in excellent condition for age and would grace any collection of purses. Maximum length 11.25 ins (28.5cm). Weight 56 grams. Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $32.00 USD - with no tracking is cheaper.
