This stunning pomander could have been used for pot-pourri. It is a pendant example as it has three suspension chains and a hook at the top. It is constructed of very skillful cut-out silver with a solid base. It has a lovely flower and leaf motif at the top for a handle. It is clearly hallmarked for George Nathan & Ridley Hayes, Chester, 1910. The condition is excellent for age. This piece would make a stunning addition to a home décor and is desirable due to its larger size and beauty. Diameter 4 ins (10.1cm), height without chains 3.25 ins (8.2cm). Weight 198 grams. This item appears in my book, ‘Antique Boxes, Inside and Out” on page 422.
Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $50.00 USD - with no tracking is cheaper. For shipping cost to other countries, please contact us.
