This set of tools is held in a quality dove-tailed timber box. The maker is Danmar of Poland. Inside is a multitude of smaller tools fitted precisely in 3D jigsaw style. Inside the lid is a saw, a hammer, a square and a level. The body of the box holds a plane, a metal grip, two different sized chisels, a screw driver, a mallet, a ruler, a measure, a sliding topped box for small items and a guide for angled cutting. The maker’s mark is on the lid faintly, and the position of the tools has been drawn in pencil to show where to place them after use. As mentioned, they need to be removed and replaced in a particular order. The condition is very good for age. This would be a delightful item to have in a collection of childhood toys and memorabilia or to give as a gift to an aspiring young carpenter. 14.5 ins (36.8cm) x 9.5 ins (24.2cm) x 3 ins (7.6cm). Weight 2350 grams.
This item appears in my book, “Antique Boxes, Inside and Out” on page198. Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $60.00. For shipping cost to other countries, please contact us.
