This is a very nice steel chatelaine with deep patterns on all pieces except the buttonhook. The appendages are a holder for leaves for notes and a flannel for needles, a thimble bucket lined with deep red velvet, a buttonhook, a pinwheel with original faded velvet and a pencil. As with most old steel there is a little rust and some staining but minimal on this piece. It is a very good example of its era – late 19th century.
Length 11.5ins (29cm). Weight 136 grams. This item appears in the book “Chatelaines, Utility to Glorious Extravagance” on page 199.
Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $43.00 USD - with no tracking is cheaper. For shipping cost to other countries, please contact us.
