This is an interesting occupational image of an English nurse wearing a pinafore-style uniform over a dark bodice with white cuffs, cap and bow at the front and a dark belt. At her waist hangs a complex chatelaine with long chain and multiple keys and other implements. The photograph was taken by Spencer & Wilson, Wood Green N & Finsbury Park, and from the style of her sleeves, the image would date to the 1890s. The condition of the photograph is very good for age although it is slightly faded. Despite this, it is an excellent depiction of the outfit and accessories of a more senior nurse (considering she is wearing a significant collection of keys plus other items). Width 4.25 ins (11cm) x height 6.6 ins (16.5cm).Registered Air Mail Post (with signature on delivery) to the USA would be $17.95 USD. For shipping cost to other countries, please contact us.
