This stylish lady’s cocktail watch is in 14 carat gold. The face of the watch has gold numerals and hands and is opened via a hinged spring. The top of the watch is set with nine pearls in an ‘X’ design with eight sapphires with prong-settings. The gold band consists of two rows of rope design gold with a central row of pearls linked with gold. The clasp has a tongue grooved pressure locking mechanism marked ‘M’ and ‘14K’. There is also a safety clip on one side and a possible previous area for a chain on the other. There is a winding and dial-adjusting winder at one side and the back of the case has an engraved inscription stating, ‘45th Anniversary from Brothers and Sisters, 2-5-1956’. The movement is a Swiss 17 jewel wind movement marked AD. Alleman Son Ltd. The watch is currently in working order but accuracy of time-keeping cannot be guaranteed.
