This is a most unusual piece that consists of a small button with “washer” at the top, and a larger ring with stylized creature (query symbolic moth?). Another attached ring holds eight charms, four of which are identical keys, one in pomegranate-form and two that appear to be nuts (one possibly an acorn). All components appear to be of silver or silvered metal and the whole piece has reasonable weight. As such, it seems to be too heavy for a hair or fabric ornament but would most likely be attached to a belt. Many of the pieces have an Oriental/Chinese feel to them. The overall condition is very good for age. This would be a fascinating item to include amongst unusual objects and with further research its exact nature could be revealed!
Maximum length 4.25 ins (10.8cm). Weight 40 grams.
Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $30.00 USD - with no tracking is cheaper. For shipping cost to other countries, please contact us.
