This small black hard rubber fountain pen with one gilt band is an interesting style of vintage fountain pen. It is marked “Dinkie” as well as a very rubbed mark for Conway Stewart London and No. 540 – Conway Stewart was known to have made this model. The nib is marked also for this maker. The pen screws into the cap. There is a lifting lever for filling the pen but this does not lift completely. The surface of the rubber shows small lines of wear, otherwise the pen is in good condition for age. It is not known the state of the ink holder. This example may well have been held in a specific clip to attach to the inside of a waistcoat or could have been a gift to an older child. It would be an interesting addition to a collection of early fountain pens.
Length 4.25 ins (10.7cm). Weight 8 grams.
Insured Air Mail Post with tracking to the USA would be $24.50 USD - with no tracking is cheaper. For shipping cost to other countries, please contact us.
