[This description has been modified in light of information recently obtained]
Delightful deck of pin-up cards made by Brown & Bigelow c.1950s advertising "Jo-Glo Fabrics," with the subtitle, "Acute Shortage." A knowledgeable customer advises that the artwork on the backs is by noted pin-up artist Earl Moran. A search on the Internet has not revealed any information about "Jo-Glo Fabrics." I have dated the deck to the 1950s, based upon the artwork, but Moran had a long and successful career with Brown & Bigelow.
There are 52 cards, but no joker. The cards are bridge size, measuring 90mm x 58mm; there is no box.
The cards are in no better than good condition, moderately used. There is edge wear and light soiling throughout, and a couple of cards have more serious blemishes (separately pictured); there are also very mild creases in a couple of the cards that I cannot seem to convey in photos. However, even with these shortcomings and a missing Joker, the deck is rare and collectible.
