Circular wood cribbage board made by Pavey – circular in the sense that the peg streets run in a circle. The board itself is actually square, measuring 7.3" on each side. I believe that Pavey was a British manufacturer, but note that the board was patented here in the United States in 1943, and have adopted that year as the date of the board. There are Registration Nos. noted right on the board, different than its U.S. Patent No., that probably relate to patent protection – or something similar – in the U.K. It was sold to me without pegs, and I have tried wood, metal and plastic pegs in the holes. Plastic pegs seem most suitable to the look and finish of the board, including the bright yellow trump indicator arrow, and I have supplied 4 pegs – 2 red and 2 blue. They are housed securely in compartments with metal swivels at the bottom of the board.
The board is in excellent condition.
