Excellent Mauchline Ware (Scottish) cribbage board, with a simple but lovely beveled design and a striking transfer image of Barmouth Harbour and Promenade in Wales. The board came to me without pegs, and the peg holes are very small. I have fashioned simple wood pegs that fit well and seem reasonably appropriate to the look of the board; but they are contemporary. The pegs are housed at the two ends of the board, in holes covered by metal swivels. The board is beveled in the sense that the playing surface of the board is wider than the base of the board, and the board is cut at an angle at the sides. It measures approximately 9.7" x 2.8" on the surface, but only about 2.35" at the base.
The condition of the board is excellent, without damage. The finish appears to be original.
