Mint, sealed deck of the celebrated cards designed by Ben Crenshaw in 2004 that he called, “Pippoglyphs.” The cards are a striking redesign of the standard international pattern, featuring stylish pips inspired by illuminated manuscripts and Celtic art. This deck is from the First Edition, now out of print and becoming difficult to find. The cards have since been published in a Second Edition that is available on the internet, but the First Edition is coveted. The World Web Playing Card Museum indicates that the cards were made by Carta Mundi, but that is almost certainly wrong; the box says that they were “Designed and Printed in USA.” The photos of this listing are from an open deck, but the cards for sale are mint and sealed in the box.
The deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus an extra card describing the deck; the extra card has a different back than the rest of the deck. The cards are wide, measuring 88mm x 63mm, and come in the original box.
As noted, the cards for sale are mint and sealed in the box.
Thanks for visiting.
