Mint, sealed (cards, not box) double deck set of Fournier’s beautiful “Ancient Civilisations” cards, with each of the 4 suits devoted to one of 4 ancient civilizations: Egyptian, Sumerian, Assyrian, and Persian. The cards have original designs by Celedonio Perellón, the great Spanish illustrator. While the decks listed here are mint and sealed, the faces of the cards can be seen at the World Web Playing Card Museum (WWPCM #04346).
Each deck has 52 cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus an extra card announcing the deck. The set comes with a paper insert in English and Spanish that describes the decks, including a bit of ancient history, and has a map identifying the location of the 4 civilizations featured. The cards are wide, measuring 89mm x 63mm, with gold gilt at the corners. They come in the original box, a tray inside a sleeve.
As noted, the cards are mint and sealed. The box is quite clean, but there are 2 tears/blemishes and 2 pieces of tape on the top of the sleeve; I have not attempted to remove the tape for fear of causing additional damage.
