Mint, sealed (cards, not box) set card set for a wonderful recent card game published by Laurence King Publishing of London. Called “The Art Game,” it consists of a set of cards, each with an illustration of a famous artist and a list of categories and values beneath the illustration. An attempt has been made to derive a score for each artist in each of these various categories, and the player with the high value in each category collects those cards with lesser values in the same category from other players. The winner of the game is the player with all of the cards at the end. The brilliant illustrations are by Danish artist Mikkel Sommer, and the categories used and values assigned have been created by James Cahill, a London art writer and educator. The photographs of this listing are from an open deck, but the actual set for sale is mint and sealed. The pictures of this listing are from an open deck, but the cards for sale are mint and sealed.
The set consists of 32 artist cards, plus 2 additional cards that explain the game and how to play it. The cards are large and wide, measuring 99mm x 65mm, and come in the original box.
As noted, the cards are mint and sealed. The box is “as new.”
