Excellent set of cards made by Brown & Bigelow c.1955 for the Erie Railroad, featuring 2 original Jokers and an original Ace of Spades. The backs of the cards are what Bollhagen identifies as Erie-5. The Jokers are the Jokers that Bollhagen shows for Erie-4 and Erie-5, and the Ace of Spades is the Ace that Bollhagen shows for Erie-4. My assumption is that Erie-5 used the same Ace as Erie-4, and that both decks use the same 2 Jokers.
The deck has 52 cards, plus the 2 Jokers noted. The cards are bridge size, measuring 89mm x 57mm, with gold gilt around, and they come in the original box.
The cards are in exceptional condition, “as new” or very nearly so, with almost all gold gilt intact. The box is also in excellent condition, without issues of any kind. This is probably as fine a set of these cards as you are likely to encounter.
