Wonderful deck of cards originally published by Le Triboulet and Mateja c.1960, and reprinted in a later edition by Le Diouris, featuring the beautiful designs of artist Mlle. Motejá depicting natives of Bretagne in costumes indigenous to the region. I believe that this deck is the later edition by Le Diouris, but am not 100% certain. It is possible that it is the original edition. There is nothing on the cards to indicate.
The deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers. The cards are bridge size, measuring 88mm x 58mm, with gold gilt on the corners, and they come in a box that is not original. They have been priced as if there is no box.
The cards are in excellent condition, lightly used if at all. FWIW, the box is plain, and in very good used condition, with the word “Bretagne” written by hand in ink on the front.
