Mint, sealed set of “Tarot Classic” cards made by AG Muller c.1971, published by U.S. Games Systems, including an instruction booklet in English, written by Stuart Kaplan. The “Tarot Classic” is a Marseilles-style tarot deck, but based upon 18th century woodcuts by Claude Burdel. It uses the terminology of the Rider-Waite set (i.e., The High Priestess, the Hierophant, etc.).
The deck has the customary 78 cards, and, as noted, is accompanied by an 18-page Instruction Booklet written by Stuart Kaplan, with some general information about tarot cards and a description of this set. The cards are tarot size, measuring 111mm x 61mm, and come in the original box, inside the original sleeve.
As noted, the cards are mint and sealed, although the wrapper is broken, and the instruction booklet is “as new.” The box has 2 or 3 notable abrasions but is quite clean; the sleeve is in excellent condition, with slight “dents” and wear at the top.
