Mint, sealed (cards, not box) twin decks of cards made by Grimaud, c.1978, on the occasion of the opening of the Jules Verne Museum in Nantes, an opening that corresponded with the 150th anniversary of the death of Jules Verne in that City. The deck features the wonderful original designs of Jean Bruneau. The faces of the cards can be seen at the World Web Playing Card Museum, as I have elected not to break the cellophane on these decks. Each is available separately for $15. Both are for sale for $25.
Each deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus an extra card introducing the deck. The cards are wide, measuring 88mm x 63mm, and come in the original box. As noted, the cards are mint and sealed; the box is “as new.”
