Excellent set of cards made by Cia General Fabril Financiera S.A. of Buenos Aires, a standard 40-card Spanish deck called “Domador.” The box has a sealing band that suggests a date c.1950.

The deck has the usual 40 suited cards of a Spanish deck, with Aces and pip cards numbered 1-7, and court cards numbered 10-12. The cards are an unusual long bridge size, measuring 95mm x 58mm, and come in the original box.

The cards are in excellent condition, “as new” or very nearly so. The box is in no better than good condition, relatively clean but with general wear.

Reference: Fournier, Playing Cards, Argentina 18, 19 (later edition of this pattern).
