Delightful and somewhat rare deck printed by “Richmond” of Toronto, and published by Unisex Playing Card Co., no doubt an entity created to publish this deck. It features “unisex” designs on the double ended court cards (i.e., designs with one end a male figure, and one end a female figure). Benincasa Designs of Ontario initiated trademark proceedings in Canada for the designs that were apparently abandoned in 1982. I have used that year of abandonment as the year the cards were made, but it is likely that they date somewhat earlier.
The deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus 2 extra cards with a brief history of playing cards. The cards are bridge size, measuring 90mm x 59mm, and come in the original box.
The cards are “as new,” and the box is in excellent condition.
Thanks for visiting.
