Wonderful set of cards made by Ceska Graficka Unie of Prague, c.1920, with French suits and the Viennese Large Crown court card pattern – a deck sometimes called “Pikety Karty” indicating its use in earlier times for piquet. The most popular Czech card game is Mariáš, which uses a 32-card deck as well, but the deck for that game has German suits.

The deck has 32 cards, with a Czech tax stamp on the Ace of Hearts. The Aces have suit symbols in all 4 corners. The cards are on thick stock, and this 32-card deck is about as thick as a typical current 52-card deck. The cards are large and wide, measuring 97mm x 65mm. There is no box.

The cards are in excellent used condition, with edge wear and evidence of handling, but otherwise without issues.
